I've been having some problems with acid reflux. And they're taking X-rays of my lower abdomen because I'm also having problems down there. Duckie

2. Don't go to sleep tonight. |
|
You'll be so tired in the morning that you won't give a damn what they do.
I've always done that before surgery or other unpleasantnesses.

I've had two upper GIs. The first time was when I was a senior in high school. I went to class when I was done, and I didn't drink any water all day. I won't lie to you-- vomited all night. Second time, I kept a bottle of water next to me the entire day, and drank until I thought I was going to float away. I was fine. No one I know who drank a lot of water after the procedure ever had problems.
I ended up having ulcers that were completely treatable. I wish you the best of luck. :)

You just reminded me of a tune I heard today. But you probably wouldn't find it funny. I'm sorry you're freaked out.
The name of the band is Butt Trumpet. I won't even post the lyrics. Although I will say that one line is- I need a primitive enema.
So just think about Butt Trumpet, and you won't be doing anything but laughing.

I was listening to my tapes. I basically taped the 90's. I knew they were too good to not preserve. Oh, the 90's. I love that band. I mean, Flannel in Seattle? It just doesn't get any better.
When I'm not streaming, I'm listening to the tapes I made. The 90's don't get old.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow...
Sorry I couldn't meet up in OKC when I was there. I had a freaking bad tooth all during the trip...couldn't eat, couldn't sleep much, on vicodin, antibiotics, other Rx meds because of it...not the best time to be sociable :( Tooth was pulled within a few days after I came back home...instant relief!
From what you've said and shared about yourself, sounds like you have a wonderful family and a great husband! You will come through this well with all the support you have at hand.
Meanwhile... ***holding you in my thoughts***

although it did hurt, and my first swallow afterwards was like drinking fire, but I probably had more than upper and I had massive blockage too.

12. I had one.. all I remember was |
|
going into the room, being told to roll on my left side, then they put this green round thing in my mouth and told me to bite down. Then she said 'you'll feel a little burn through the IV' and then I was waking up in the recovery room. Ends up I have a mild hiatal hernia that doesnt need treatment.

You have to fast the night before, and you can't drink any coffee.
The barium is sort of icky to drink.
See if the radiologist will turn the monitor in your direction so you can watch the barium flow through. It's really cool. It make me laugh, I was so addled from having had no coffee.
On edit: it seems as though I didn't have the same upper GI everybody else here has had.
