Most unusual musical pairing?
For me, it's the Little Drummer Boy performed by David Bowie and Bing Crosby.

Next?

1. I just heard that song for about the tenth time today.
It's very, very odd, but it works for me. Somehow. ;)

2. Me too.
And to watch the old clip, it just seemed right at the time.

10. Mary J. Blige and U2--and it is just delightful.
For some telethon, they did "One" together, and I was like...uh...huh?

But she just rocked the hell out of that song, it was nuts. Then when I saw them in concert she came out and they did it again. Just really great, sounded great.

I don't know if time has killed the WTF factor, but when their duet for "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" came out, it just seemed...whatever the opposite of 'brilliantly inspired' is.

17. I saw a Botox-infused Kenny Rogers with an aging Lionel Richie on TV
the other night. It's a bit of a dichotomy to hear Lionel Richie sing a verse of "The Gambler".

Lionel, have we sunk so low?

19. Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton.
I kid you not. I was in the scrapbook store the other day (notoriously famous for cheesy music content), and I heard their version of "Baby It's Cold Outside."

:wtf:
Strange indeed.

31. Yep.
My Circle Jerks CD is in storage, but she definitely sang backup on that one song called "I Wanna Destroy You." It was on their first major label album called Oddities, Abnormalities and Curiosities.

25. Traveling Wilburys - Handle With Care
(or whatever it's called)...when Bob Dylan (who can't sing) and Tom Petty (who can sing occassionally, but not often) do that painful *harmonizing*...? It's not even a matter of taste, it causes me physical distress. Neigh unto a seizure. x(
