Al Franken busted for drugs (breaking news!)

This just came in, Al Franken was just busted for illegal drugs, agents raided his house and found..

4000 Oxycontin pills and another $10,000 in cash.

Authorities believe that he was using his personal chef to make the street buys.

According to reports, the drug ring involved Mr Franken using hired help to funnel tens of thousands of dollars for the purchase of illegal hard drugs.

Al Franken is a well known book author, political commetator, and former member of the telivision show Saturday Night Live.

Police raided the house of Mr. Franken early Monday morning, November 24 and found the large quantities of street drugs, and a large stash of cash.

After repeated attempts, there was no comment from a Franken spokesperson.

There was no official comment from the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) but one agent, under the condition of anonymity, commented .. " there was a large cache of drugs found, thousands of pills, and that along with the amount of cash found would constitute a serious problem".

On further inquiry, the DEA, FBI, and all local law enforcement officials refused any comment, other than to say 'we do not comment on any under-going investigations'.

However, one official under John Ascroft at the Justice Department, on the condition of anonymity, issued the following statement..


Instead of being prosecuted, Al Franken should be sent to a drug rehab for five weeks, and upon his return, Mr. Franken should be given a radio show to talk to millions of Americans.

Asked for a follow up, the Justice Department official said "I think we are done here, he has his radio show, let Al Franken do what Al Franken wants to do, its over as far as we are concerned".

Now THAT’S law enforcement in America today.

First they told me that going shopping at the mall was good.

So now taking semi-heroin pills is good too?

I cant wait till tomorrow to find out whats next!

But he didn't have to be arrested to straighten himself out, in stark contrast to Rush who was probably never going to stop without getting in trouble with the law. Extreme conservatives live in denial of just about everything.
