What are the all time worst sports franchises? (Hint: Lions fan here)
Yes, I am a Lions fan since I was 11 in 1962. And yes, they won three titles in the '50s. But here's their record since:
* One playoff win in 47 years. That's right: one.
* No Lions coach since 1957 has ever been hired as head coach afterwards by another team (sorry, Steve Mariucci, this is the end). Here's some names: Harry Gilmer, Tommy Hudspeth, Monte Clark, Rick Forzano, Marty Morningweg, Wayne Fontes, Joe Schmidt (only decent one). I am leaving out others, but you get the point.
* Detroit fans are the greatest. That only underlines my point. If the Lions ever made the Super Bowl (hah!) you would see an outpouring of support like you have never seen.
* With apologies to the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints - only other franchises existing at the time of the first Super Bowl who have not made it there - the Lions history is far richer. See you on Thanksgiving Day, for another loss.
Other sports franchises are eligible. You won't beat me on this, though.

Only one playoff win since 1948. Arizona Cardinals is probaly about the same as the Lions.

5. Seattle Seahawks
I nominate them because they've never been to a Super Bowl or NFL championships.
