Flame bait thread!
Let's see now, to start a flamewar, all anyone has to do is:

Critisize a favorite sports team (Like Minnesota or Ohio State)

Say one democratic candidate is better than the other

Make a statement about anyone else's pet beliefs, no matter how true the statement is, (like astrology, eating meat or not eating meat, religion, or who shot JFK)

Any more?

2. Just keep repeating that same tired meme...
People on DU use the word "meme" so frequently (guess they just recently discovered it on DU) that it in itself is a "meme."

7. Astrologers!
They have a quiet corner, don't force their opinions on everyone else and discuss their opinions and beliefs in the open.

Why do some individuals have a problem with this when they don't have to click on the topic in the first place?

Nader vs Dems
North vs South
Gun Control vs 2nd amendment
pro/anti death penalty

I could go on. Face it - we're not happy unless we can argue about something. :-)

9. I think Bush has been as open as he can be
about 9-11 without compromising the security of innocent American civilians. Plus, this war with Iraq was completely justified if you think about it, because you see, Terrorism is bad, Saddam Hussein was/is bad, so if we fight Saddam and Terrorism, we're fighting against bad, and if we're against bad, we're good. Don't you Daily Worker reading pinkos get it?

23. Wal-Mart
I'm a piece of SHIT. I shop at Wal-Mart because it's the only store in my town. In fact, it's the only thing in my town at all, other than my own house. Just my little house, and Wal-Mart. If I have a grease fire in my kitchen, I call Wal-Mart to come and put it out. When Grandpa died, we had the cosmetology, dressing and casketing done by Wal-Mart's customer service department. All our babies were born at Wal-Mart. And I feel like absolute shit about it, being a good liberal and such.

24. Clark and Walmart
Edited on Mon Nov-24-03 08:20 AM by WoodrowFan
General Clark bombed Yugoslavia on the orders of Skulls and Bones and the Biltbergers so the CIA could build a Walmart in Belgrade and Dean invested in it so he could build abortion clinics for 12 year old, funded by Michael Jackson. I know this because my astrologer told me so, she also told me that my freeper inlaws killed JFK on Thanksgiving and then they ate cats because cats are better than dogs (but they are southernerrs so what doi you expect!?) and then they watched Ohio State ravage some team from Florida wearing orange, which is also the color of the Northern Irish who are fighting IRA terrorism and are defending our right to strange sexual positions (see poll to pick your favorite), some of which may appear in my favorite movie, Lord of the Rings, which is WAY better than the Matrix which was secretly funded by Haliburton, (see this freeper thread for proof) anmd I know you don't believe me because you don't like my religion so I'm going to write-in Nadar in as the socialist party candidate because I know that not only did no airplane hit the Pentagon, but there was in fact, no actual buidling called the pentagon, it was all special effects by Disney paid for by Bush and the DLC and now I'm going top post a thread complaining that i am going to leave DU unless you all beg me to stay.
(Nope, nothing to flame here!)

Star a thread calling one of the presidential hopefuls a liar. That's the kind of thread that gets 200 replies per day.

or at least wasn't careful about the absolute truth of some of his statements, or worded them in such a manner as to be confusing to the 'great unwashed'.

He ran one of the worst campaigns ever.
