The concert went well, thanks for asking *smooch*. We did some really difficult pieces this time and managed to pull them off without any really noticable hitches. It was just hot under the lights - I think I sweated more during the concert than I did at my Tae Bo class yesterday morning.

It took a lot more out of me than I was expecting and I'm being a bum today. The NFL has been conspiring to keep from being able to nap though - too many really close, exciting games. :-)

I was forced to make a certain amount of noise yesterday when my Dawgz pulled game out of their asses in the last 10 minutes of the Apple Cup.

Resting sounds awfully good. I've been drinking hot tea all day. It's particularly nice since in addition to my throat being raw it's also getting chilly here today. The good news is I don't have to sing again for a while. I probably would have screamed myself into a bout of laryngitis during the Cowboys' game today but I just didn't have the energy. I was quietly smug instead. :-)

It's possibly my fault really.... My first several months of posting to DU I obscurred my gender, 'cause that's not really all there is to say about me and I didn't want to be pidgeon-holed.

But a couple of times since then I've tried to participate in various discussions, such as pro-choice frex, -where being female adds perspective to the discussion, and folks had a hard time hyper-leaping to the notion that I was a chica.

So I put it in my profile.

Apparently people don't read those.

They just see a name that could go either way and the fact that I'm talking about football and posting obscur Star Trek trivia.
