Go see "Looney Tunes: Back in Action"!!!
This is NOT a kiddie cartoon. This is humor on par with all the in-jokes and memories that appeared in Roger Rabbit. Countless background references to what we, as aging boomers, endlessly watched each Saturday morning while waiting to grow up. (Personally, it never happened to me-- growing up, that is!)

I was amazed so many people seemed to understand what it was about-- almost NO children were at the showing I attended! It was all people my age. It reminded me of the Crosby, Stills, and Nash concert I went to in Nashville-- a stadium full of tie-dyed ex-hippies, all stoned, all flashing back to an incredibly intense time.

The same was true of this movie. Just another big screen cartoon? I don't think so!

1. The marketing isn't so good....
Brendan Fraser was somewhere talking about just what you're saying here, but the trailers a)aren't clear what the film is *about*, and b) make it look like a Family Movie.

I have a friend who was going to try to see it this weekend, I'll be interested to see if she shares your view.
Glad to hear you liked it!

2. It IS a family movie, but
the kiddies won't get the jokes. A pity.

4. I bought the Looney Tunes DVD set and am amazed at the
number of jokes I didn't get as a kid.

BTW, the set is cool except for one thing: "What's Opera, Doc?" is NOT in it!!! WTF!!!?!???!! What were they thinking?? It's the best Looney Tunes cartoon ever.

Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit!

5. Good movie
But I do think it is a kid's movie as well. My seven year old totally enjoyed it... but then I've fed him a steady diet of classic cartoons since birth...

Anyways, I do agree it's a must see for anyone who enjoys cartoons. So much better than 'Space Jam' (bleah...) One little gripe was that the script was great for Daffy, but Bugs played the straight man a little too much.
