I have a new mouse today. My old one crapped out on me yesterday.
The new mouse doesn't move around - it just has a GIANT RED BALL for moving the cursor. I'm not used to it. I don't like it.

I think they are mainly aimed to businesses that don't plan on letting their workers have adequate desk space for the standard kind.
You will get better with it, but they are a drag.
On edit: now I know TWO people who like the trackball!

When my mouse went yesterday, my husband looked around to see what he had here at home. We had this mouse, plus a regular mouse (the one that came with this computer; we've just never used it). I think I may have to switch this GIANT RED BALL mouse out for the other one. I'm just so much slower with it than a regular mouse.

I have the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrom and some arthritis in my wrist and it is a life saver!
I'd have to quit doing websites otherwise.

I have one...and I was wary of it at first, but you will love it after a while...unless it's not one you use at the thumb, in which case you need to go get one that has the ball at the thumb and the mouse buttons at the top. It's the only kind to have.
