2. Hate is the opposite of love.
I often wonder if people who can't handle the word hate have the capacity to truly love. They certainly aren't much help when it comes to taking back America.

4. I think that one must experience both feelings to live a full life.
To take the higher road and love in-spite of hate is the greatest challenge that faces man. What made Ghandi, MLK, Budda, Jesus, so great was their ability to love in spite of everything. I am so tired of being angry, being hateful. I am now channeling it into organizing community outreach programs (having a once a month event at our local library to introduce people to Chomsky, I might be speaking to members of different black congregations (I am a very pale anglo-saxon BTW), helping register people to vote, and possibly trying to get a free concert together, where we try to inform people of important news that is not getting covered and listen to the music of Oxford's local bands. Lets just say I am busy but it makes me feel a whole lot better. I'm trying hard to control my temper, and even today I lost it. I got into a fight with my father-in-law, who I love dearly. He is a republican and he won't hear how bad things are. However he promised that if Dean gets the nom. he will vote for him. I just have to tell myself "you can not shake hands with a clenched fist."

6. Don't get me wrong I FUCKING hate Dubya!
I literally twitch if i think about him too hard. My husband laughs but it is a real physical reaction. The man and his cronies are vile! I was just saying that we should aspire to let go of hate for our fellow man, but adding the clause except George and pals, is fine with me.
