My insurance doesn't require references - if I need to see a specialty doctor, I just go.

And my right arm including my wrist have been killing me.

I don't want medical advice other than recommended specialty doctor I should get an appointment with.

Thank you!

3. Hey sweetie!!!
:hi:

Glad to see you around, guess we're still playing telephone tag :eyes:

Well, I'm reading the CTS website and I don't have any symptoms but I'm still sore throughout my right arm, especially around the wrists so I'm not sure what is going on.

Thanks!

4. You only have one wrist on your right arm
Could be tendinitis. Either way get it checked. Extra vitamin B6 will help in the meantime as will anti-inflammatories...

LOCKED!

8. Everyone has carpal tunnels. You don't need to see a doctor.
If you think something is wrong with yours, see an orthopedist or a hand specialist. Your regular doc can probably help you as well.

9. all of the above are good suggestions and you might consider
a chiropractor, too. I got relief from my CTS from one...for a while. Delayed having surgery for several months....fit my schedule better.

10. Mine kills me a lot too
I write it off as working on a computer all the time. Extending the arm out and moving the wrist. It is probably more likely tendinitis.
I had it so bad one time from playing guitar that they put my wrist in a cast.

15. I'm sure he's great but there are 2 issues
First, I need to have someone covered by my doctor

and second, I've had a doctor in Philly and it's a pain making an appointment when you work & live in Delaware. Pretty much I would have to take an entire afternoon off.

I'll see what is good around the Christiana Hospital and if nothing is rated well I'll look at your recommendation

12. If you adjust your monitor height
make sure your keyboard is in the right place and use a natural keyboard, you won't need a specialist (or surgery).

Take it from me, been there, made the adjustments and now no problems (and this from a woman who caused herself great pain by ringing the salvation army bell in the cold for too long several winters back and by having to restock the shelves of a 2 floor law library -- suffice it to say, I have preexisting wrist problems. ;-) )

13. I've been using natural keyboards for ages
but I think that my mouse position was kinda screwed up. I had one of those mousepads with the support bump in it. I finally got rid of it today and by this afternoon I wasn't feeling as much pain

16. No mouse for me
I use a track ball - no wrist movement involved - it is actually much more efficient too.

but the mouse I have is ergodynamic.

BTW< check out my lounge thread for JimmyJazz. I'm going to print it out before we meetup for dinner

20. A word of advice.. Do NOT watch the "shock thingie" when they do
the nerve test..It will creep you out :)

and think long and hard before you have surgery.. talk to A LOT of people who have had the surgery.. I declined the surgery when I saw all the copmplications that some of the people had afterwards.. Mine used to be horrible, but now that I do not work anymore, it rarely bothers me:)
