I hope everyone is through with their shopping! |
|
I am done!! Finally. Finished Monday. But when I went out to lunch, I saw over 6 fender benders. People seem to forget how to drive when they are in shop mode!!

5. I wrapped for 4 straight hours Monday night. |
|
Sad thing is that I had wrapped 90% of the gifts already. Which means I probably spent WAY too much money this year.

27. Altoids or gum or Tic-Tacs, probably |
|
Actually we're not doing really big gifts this year as most of my family are going to Florida next week instead. So I'm just going to buy gift cards.
Everybody in my family are "hoarders", it seems, and the last thing they need is more junk. Besides, since we're celebrating on Festivus, it would kind of defeat the whole holiday to get presents for everyone :silly:
PS: glad to hear the Sniffamobile is back in service! Cars are a royal pain in the arse, especially in winter :scared:

That is usually me since I am a big procrastinator!! Not this year though! I had to be done by tomorrow since we are going to my F-i-L's Friday and then on to my parent's on Saturday which is also my husband's birthday!! :)

It has to suck to have a birthday on Christmas Eve. We always joke and say it is tough to share your birthday with Jeses b/c Jesus tends to win!! ;)

It is like people forget how to drive when it rains and during the holidays. My aunt works near a fire department. When I'd be there in her office and it was raining, I would hear the fire trucks go out at least 4 times a day!

I made furniture for all of the adults.. The three kids got Lego's and dolls. They are all my sisters kids. Not that I made babies with my sister.. I just got her son some Lego's, and her girls got some dolls.
And the GF got shoes and jewelry.
edit -- fucked up the first word.. I have been awake for about 30 hours..

11 presents (and stocking stuffers) in under an hour. And no Chia pets this year. Now I have to wrap everything... which involves finding the paper, then scissors, then OMG sticky tape. I need a beer.

I use the tootsie roll method.
1. Tear off a massive sheet of paper. 2. Place gift in the middle. 3. Roll up and twist the ends a few times. 4. Tape it up 5. ??? 6. Profit (or your family calls you a sloppy drunk christmas eve fuck) 7. Have a smoke on the back porch

36. Well, I have a TON of gift bags |
|
and I make my own paper etc. So I'm up to my eyeballs in crafty shit. So to make up the chintzy presents (this year - I'm broke), I'm going whole hog on the wrapping - tinsel, glitter, etc. It's more work than it's worth, IMO.
