Shocker! Officials: Sen. Clinton's GOP challenger to quit race
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/12/21/ny.pirro/index.html

For those who don't remember:

At Pirro's kickoff announcement in New York City on Aug. 10, she lost one of the pages of her speech and there was an embarrassing 30-second gap. Later that day in Albany, her sound system failed. In Buffalo, her outdoor event was hit with wind and rain.

1. Yeah, knowing the issues always helps a candidate.

Pirro will instead run for state attorney general, an adviser said.

"This is the job that she really wants to do," the adviser said. "She's more familiar with the issues. That's what it comes down to."

Sheesh.

4. She got backstabbed by major republicans, including her husband.
Those family values strike again.

7. sure
She's voted Pro-PNAC since being in office, and may talk against Bushco...but it's just that, talk. She voted for the war, and always votes with the Repubs. Just because there's a D at the end of her name, does not make her one. She's part of the PNAC, and the Repubs asked Pirro to not run so their girl in the Democratic Party could win again.
