Wal-Mart
I have a sin to confesss. I normally don't shop there, but it's the only store here in the area. While I am here I am going to have to shop there.

Please forgive me.

1. Oh sweet god
The least you could do is wear a pro-union sign on your back.

2. Ahhh
isn't it frustrating? Some things where I live can ONLY be found at that terrible place. But, I do buy as little as possible there.

and that was for a belt. I had a dinner party that night.

5. I think I may be able to avoid ever going back there.
It isn't always easy, but I think I can manage to find anything I need somewhere else. There is one thing I want and haven't found anywhere else (a special size of a certain brand of container), so I may have to go back, but it will be the only thing on my list.

Do what you can, Jiacinto.

6. the last time I shopped at Walmart
I was working in Nebraska - I needed a battery for my wristwatch and the nearest place I could find it was Walmart. And I had to drive forty miles to get there - so I can relate.

10. WM's the ONLY place that does that??
I didn't even know they did that at all, and you're saying you couldn't find a garage where you could get that work done?

You're just baiting people, aren't you? You want to be scolded.

11. We'll forgive you if...
you buy a union-promoting t-shirt and wear it while you shop. And be sure you wander around A LOT before checking out!

I'm partial to the one that says "Unions: The people who gave you the Weekend" or something like that.

Carrefour... If they ever break into the American market, Wally world will be out of business.

Sometime back in 1999 IIRC, I loved it, Geant was pretty cool too.

15. I was in one once
and I wasn't impressed, I walked out without buying anything. You have to do what you have to do though, so you're forgiven. :-) I'm lucky I live in the Los Angeles area and can find any number of places to shop, I know that's not the case with everyone.
