Sonic Jihad....a MUST have CD |
|
Wow! I know others have posted their praise for this CD...I just bought it this weekend from Vintage Vinyl in St Louis...wow!
All I can say is WOW! Truer words have not been spoken...
This is what I liked about early rap...too bad it was corporatized and ripped of its politics.

3. Money well spent! Better to support |
|
artists who are brave enough to speak truth to power. They are the ones who need our support, not the rich corporate artists who feed at the RIAA trough.
Vintage Vinyl is an awesome store. They can be expensive but they do have a large used CD collection. I was surprised they had this CD because I expected it to be difficult to get in the conservative midwest.
The same night I bought Sonic Jihad I also bought the John Lennon DVD that came out last week. Another artist who spoke his mind and risked his freedom.

|
Heavy Metal has always been my Favorite Music System of a Down very political "Toxicity" very Hard NOFX "The War On Errorism" is a great disk too (punk) I'll also have The Blackeyed peas "elephunk" for the song "where is the love?"
On the Paris CD rated "R" Hard Rock n Hip Hop
1) Ave Bushoni : like a horror story about the number of the beast and "Bushoni"
2)Field N**** Boogie "unless you wanna live on your knees throw down"
3)Sheep To The slaughter
4)Spilt Milk
5)Freedom (very inspiring)
6)Tear S*** Up
7)ain't no love
8)Lay Low (awesome song Probably my favorite)
9)life goes on (really speaks to the long term suvival in activism)
10)You Know my Name
11)Evil (first person account)
12)AWOL (a story of a soldier)
13)Agents of reppression
14)What would you do?
15)How we do
16) Freedom (remix)
