Let's talk alcohol. Share your favorite holiday drink recipes!
I just found this one on the MSNBC website. Looks delish, if I can find the Starbucks peppermint syrup (wonder what I could substitute?).

Peppermint Paddy

1 oz. peppermint schnapps
1/2 oz. white crème de cacao
1 oz. Starbucks peppermint syrup
Swiss Miss White Chocolate powder, prepared according to package directions
Chocolate Reddi-wip for garnish
Candy cane dust for garnish (recipe follows)

1) Combine the schnapps, crème de cacao, and peppermint syrup in an Irish coffee glass.

2) Fill with hot white chocolate and top with whipped cream.

3) Sprinkle with candy cane dust and serve immediately.

Candy Cane Dust

Grind a few peppermint Altoids and pieces of candy cane in a coffee grinder.

Here's the article, if you want to read it and find many more delicious drink ideas.

I am not big on liquor, but I love margaritas. They're not really Christmas-y though!! :P

5. Take a wedge of chilled lime
Wipe it firmly round the outside of a chilled glass, add plenty of ice to the glass and place the lime on top. Take gin (preferably Tanquary) out of the freezer, pour large amount over the ice; add chilled tonic water.

Drink, repeat as necessary.
