8. Just think of what goes well with the eggnog flavor
Whiskys like Maker's Mark have a vanilla-like finish, which works. Just plain' ol' brandy is fine, not the flavored kind.

If the liquor store person is knowledgeable, you can ask them.

4. I saw Martha Stewart make some Eggnog on the Today Show...
She put like 3 different types of liquor in it. I think rum, Bourbon and brandy if I recall correctly. Check out her website or the Today Show's, it looked like some strong tasty stuff

9. Thanks, I'll check that out. Sounds yummy....
but I don't have that much booze in the house, besides rum. 3 different types of liquor??! Wow, sounds strong, indeed.

I'm not a big drinker, obviously, is bourbon the same thing as whiskey?

10. It's not for everyone. Pretty rich stuff, but with some "spirits" it can
be yummy.

How's the back? Hope you're doing better, my dear.

16. The back's pretty dandy! Apparently I'm not as decrepit as I feared.
I'm not touchin' eggnog, because it looks like something I shouldn't consume anyway, so I prefer to not develop a liking for it. If only I had never developed a liking for amaretto truffles...

17. Good, happy to hear it. Lara.
Yeah, I only occasionally drink eggnog around the holidays, but thought this year it might be fun to spice it up a bit with some booze.

mmm...amaretto truffles...sounds heavenly!

Best to you and yours,
Shine

21. Oh, I'll do the booze! I can handle some of that!
and yep...the truffles are divine! My hubby brought me a couple the other day and I still have one of them left...I only eat a quarter of one at a time, and I just let it sit on my tongue and melt in my mouth...heavenly!

23. Yeah, they're called Tom & Jerry's........actually I'm meeting
friends after work for some. I found this searching on google:

TOM AND JERRY BATTER

12 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. butter, at room temperature
3 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla, rum, or brandy flavoring
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice

Beat egg whites until stiff; add salt. Beat egg yolks until light. Cream butter and powdered sugar; mix until crumbly. Add egg yolks and vanilla; mix well. Add spices. Add egg whites; beat until well blended. Will keep several weeks in refrigerator. May be frozen, if covered. Use 1 heaping tablespoon of batter for each Tom and Jerry.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, they are very, very good.....can only have 2 at the most though.
