Talk about a PINEAPPLE Express
It is freakishly warm here. I just saw a rosebush full of fresh buds. One flower had even bloomed...welcome to winter.

2. If it makes you feel better, my apartment has been almost
unbearably hot. I left the window open all night and all today, and it is finally normal.

7. Similar here in Seattle
It's in the 50s with occasional heavy rain.
But last week it was cold, in the 20s at night, 30s during the day.

9. on Vancouver Island -- we just had thunder and lightning!
Accompanied by a brief torrential downpour.

I'm used to this kind of thing from central Canada -- but even then, it rarely occurs after the winter solstice! Very strange.

Plum blossoms in downtown Victoria are blooming already.

10. The north island's been really wet for the past week.
Warm (10 degrees), but lots of torrents.

I hope the ski industry doesn't have to eat it again this year.

13. It is warm here today as well.
I had to open the windows. Not that I mind, after the last two weeks. It has been down right freezing.
