Forgive me, but I must vent.

Our big bosses work at a different location than the office I work at. We recently had a major audit & were told last week the bosses would be over the first of this week to review the findings with us. Well, Monday goes by, then Tuesday, then Wednesday (any of which I would be ok with being called the first of the week) and no bosses.
So today less than a hour before closing time, they show up, no notice, no checking to see if it's a good time, no freaking way. It does not matter that some people have children to pick up, rides waiting for them, or appointments, we are meeting now for as long as it takes to tell us everything we do wrong. Oh & by the way, Merry F**CKING CHRISTMAS.
End of rant, thank you for your time, & back to your regularly scheduled posting.

3. Thanks, they treat us like an embarrassing relative.
That is until they want something.
Oh well, the life of a peasant.

2. It's about exerting power
and making sure you know where you sit in their eyes.

4. You are so right. I don't mind working late or last second meetings,
I am just annoyed by the disrespect they show us.

I'd get 15 page faxes that started at 4:58 pm my time, from the west coast, Friday afternoon. I had to acknowledge these faxes as individual "bugs", even though I delivered what the customer asked but she changed her mind, and faxed me back these forms with everything she didn't like circled on subsequent pages. Frex, one page has 5 "bugs", I wouldn't get one page with 5 circles, I'd get 5 pages each with their own circle. Anything to make me wait. This also was done so we'd have to open a new work ticket on each error, not each page.

While I was watching the fax machine go nuts minutes after 5 on Friday afternoon, the phone would ring, and it would be our asshole-in-chief customer from Council Bluffs, on speakerphone, with about 12 ( I'm not exaggerating) different people all ready to hammer me as hard as they could.

That's the point where I started drinking heavily

Fucking people. I hate them. It's why I don't answer phone calls unless I'm expecting them.

6. When I am at home the answering machine picks up every call.
If they don't say anything or I don't want to talk to them I don't pick up. My friends & family all know this & everyone else I don't care.
