Do you get sick riding in a cab? |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-23-05 12:28 PM by bertha katzenengel
or -- how I spent my lunch hour:
hop in one cab, get flung across town like the magic bullet
get out, get feet under me, keep myself from laughing at the sidewalk
find my anxiety-ridden meeting room, wait in a sweat (christ, it was hot in there)
have the meeting
hop in the next cab - where the interior was hotter than the waiting room and where the driver is playing "contemporary christian" christmas music* :puke:, get flung across town like a wayward scud
get back into the office, run to the ladies room just in time
now i am sipping a Coca-Cola trying not to have another technicolor yawn
note to self: remember a xanax before these meetings and a dramamine before a cab ride, you :dunce:
And how is YOUR day?
* a new christian "carol" -- the tune of "Oh, Very Young" with new lyrics about sweet baby Jesus. :puke:x3
