3. Can't women think of any other way to show how "free" they are?
It's so disgusting, to me, that whenever a celebrity/model whatever wants to show how "secure" and "free" and "in control" they are, they appear topless/scantily clad in some rag?

Absolutely ridiculous.

4. She is also a Law school graduate
And a musician. I think women should be allowed to wear whatever they want and pose for magazines too.

6. I am aware that she graduated law school, in fact that's what pissed me
off.

I mean, this woman is everything you've named, but no one hears a peep about her until she decides to model--scantily clad at that--and then she launches into how maybe other women will see she's following her dream and they can too.

Why is a woman's dream always lawyer....in a bikini! Or musician....in a thong! My IQ is actually 900....but here are my boobs! Actually those aren't most women's dreams but you'd never know it to read a magazine these days.

7. if she is trying to stick it to Bin Laden or some other similar types
then she probably sees this as the best way to do it.

i didn't read the article or interview so i'm not sure if she explained any of this.

8. She sees it as the best way to distance herself from him
and fundamentalist Muslims.

Here are a coiuple of quotes:

“Everyone relates me to that man, and I have nothing to do with him,” Wafah Dufour, the daughter of bin Laden’s half brother, Yeslam Binladin, says in the January edition of the magazine, referring to the al-Qaida leader.

“I want to be accepted here, but I feel that everybody’s judging me and rejecting me,”

9. i can understand it
most would probably view the burka as why women have no freedom rather than lack of education , job etc opportunities.

and this pretty much shows she isn't like him without having to say anything. she probably would be less effective without that pic since the media would not have given her attention without it.

13. Agreed; I had no idea "freedom" meant "naturalism"...
And, in America, they currently do not.

Somewhere, a bomb is going to go off, people are going to die, and these photos will be blamed.

12. She looks like a hooker.
Well, what else am I supposed to say? I sure as hell wouldn't wear a skimpy, sultry, revealing, and utterly delicious outfit and say "My values are just like George W Bush's", which is precisely what she is doing. Especially when lounging in a bed like that.
