Townspeople turkey bowling in pj's in Ocean Shores, WA
this weekend! What a Saturday night my husband and I had on our trip to Ocean Shores... It just happened to be Moonlight Madness at the local grocery store.

The workers and customers were all wearing pajamas and there was a bowling contest (with great prizes!) with frozen turkeys and 2 liter soda pops in the frozen food aisle. They also had free refreshments and I probably ate half a dozen scone cookies.

I get so upset over what the Bush administration is doing to our country and to the world that it was nice to be able to have a little crazy fun.

Thanks, Ocean Shores.

Glad you had some crazy fun. But what about all those that sleep in their BirthDay Suits?

3. I thought you meant
they were bowling WITH turkeys! Frozen, of course.

Gotta find some way to get tourists to Ocean Shores in winter - all the people that swarm the place in summer disappear as soon as Labor Day is past. Oddly enough, I really love Ocean Shores in winter, partly BECAUSE there are so many fewer gigantic RVs on the street(s), but mostly because the surf is so much more dramatic.

One of my long-term ex-boyfriends was from Ocean Shores, so I've spent a lot of time there.

6. Yes--they WERE bowling with frozen turkeys!
They were throwing the frozen turkeys at the soda pop bottles! It was quite the sport.

I like ocean resorts in the winter, too. :-)
