What are your GUILTY PLEASURES?
Here are mine...
NOTE: I am a 21 year old hispanic, heterosexual male from Texas, so what I consider a guilty pleasure might not be so for others...

1. "We Belong"- Pat Benatar
Admit it... you like this song!

2. Who sings this song and what's it called? "I know nothing stays the same/ but if your willing to play the game/ its coming around again/..."

3. Blind Date- On Spike TV of course...

*The... ahem... selected works of Sylvester Stallone...

4. 'Over the Top'- If you were a kid when you saw this movie, can you honestly say that you didn't have dreams of becoming a world champion arm wrestler?

*and

5. 'Driven'- Watching this movie is like letting my inner child out to play. Silly, stupid... and FUN!

6. 'Mad' and 'Cracked' magazine- Pure Genius!

7. www.mrcranky.com- I have to admit, not quite as funny as he was a year or two ago.

8. Celine Dion- I own about 15 of her cd's.

9. Mary Fahl's album 'The Other Side of Time'- "Want to" is one hell of a love song... Hey, she's a babe too!

10. Sarah Brightman- I only have the albums 'Harem' and 'Eden.'

* Guilty Pleasure Honorable Mention- "A Little Respect" by Erasure. My brother says I shouldn't feel guilty about this. What do you guys think?

7. Beer (microbrews only)
...and MAD Magazine. I've got every issue of MAD from 1952 through 1997 on CD. I used to read this magazine when I was a kid but my mom threw out my old issues. I was really happy to find the entire history--EVERY issue, cover to cover--on CD a few years back...

9. I really like those awful 'confessional' "non-fiction" novels...
Any of those really lurid "true-life" expose books, the weirder and hoaxier the better. The ones from the 70s are the ne plus ultra, because publishers would give house-room to some of the craziest shit back then. Some of my favourites in the genre would be:

_Cauldron of Blood: The Matamoros Cult Killings_
_Alive!_ (rugby players eat their own dead!)
_Secret Ceremonies: One Woman's Journey In The Mormon Church_
_The Ghost of Flight 401_ (this one gets extra bonus points because it has airplanes in it, and I'm an aviation geek) I even read the sequel, but I can't remember what it was called right now

and so on. I'm not especially particular, but considering that I basically have *two* degrees in English, and I know good literature when I see it, these are a guilty pleasure. In fact, I almost feel bad about having them on the bookshelf next to the more respectable stuff, almost as though they might be contagious or something. Don't ask...

10. I can neither confirm nor deny
whether or not I might, hypothetically, get a kick out of taking a red sharpie to the Biff Co re-election bumber stickers. It may or may not be true that someone could draw 2 "L"s inside the "U" and an "IT" inside the "H" clarifying Bullshit where I may or may not see it.

Oh, yeah, and chocolate , oh yes, chocolate!

Peace,
Teresa

13. "A little Respect" is a kick ass song....
...no guilt should be associated with liking any song by Erasure.
