Home made Irish Cream recipie... |
|
I make this in gallons every year, and I have people begging me for a 'refill' year after year. I don't usually give out the recipe, but I figure I haven't made it for any of you, yet, so why not share something that is good?? :hi:
In a blender add the following: (If you don't have a blender a big bowl and a mixer will work too.)
3 eggs 1 1/2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup 1/4 teaspoon of coconut extract 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 cup of heavy cream 1 1/2 cups of whiskey (I buy Canadian mist or VO)
Blend for 2 minutes, pour into bottles or jars. Must be refrigerated.
I have no idea how long it lasts, since it doesn't last long in our house! We put it in our morning coffee or over ice. We have even made Mudslides with it. I am so used to the rich taste of mine, that I can't stand the taste of the real 'Bailey's'
Enjoy DU :*

It's a gravy made from milk thickened with a roux. Usually made in the same pan the chicken fried steak was cooked in.

You watch the cooking channel way too much. A white sauce is made with a roux as well, but not with pan drippings.

Cook out the raw flour, then add milk. How's that? :)
White sauces are generally cream and butter, right?
