and it converts the power into a standard wall plug.
Chrismukah present from my brother. What should I use it for? I've been thinking putting a coffee maker in my minivan.

That'd speed up the morning commute, you could iron while driving and have freshly pressed clothes when you get to work. ;)

soup, make coffee, etc etc when you are living in a vehicle. Since your not a truck driver, about the only thing you could use it for is when you might go camping.

13. I'd be careful about this |
|
Automotive electrical systems aren't made to run household stuff. Something like an electric razor would be okay, or maybe a boom box, but stuff like irons and teevees and maybe even coffee makers might draw too much current for your car's wiring. Could cause an overload, and that could easily lead to fire.

after your engine is running and turn it off before you turn the engine off.
Mine's rated to run a 19"tv and a VCR. I haven't pushed it that far nor will I.

18. Yeah, but for a very short time |
|
The current load lasts only a few seconds while the lighter heats.
That reminds me, though: Just a few days after I got my truck, I pushed in the lighter on my way home from work and it didn't pop out, and when I got home I forgot about it. I didn't go anywhere that night, and when I came out to go to work the next morning the lighter was still in and the instrument panel around it had melted. I was damned lucky the whole truck didn't burn up.
