Thread, which WAS self-pitying, and which got a gazillion worried responses, as it should have because you had every reason to feel the way you did. We felt bad for you and worried about you, and were glad just to be able to keep your spirits up. And I seem to recall people making certain specific suggestions, such as having others help with editing/reviewing articles, taking breaks by doing ___________(fill in the blank), etc., etc., and I seem to recall your rejecting almost all of the suggestions, giving reasons why you could not do them and continuing your wallowing.

So you tell me how, exactly, that's any different? Is it because you're much more of a "celebrity" on here than Carlos or almost anyone else? How would YOU have felt if people had posted some of the nasty hostile crap they posted on his latest thread, I actually thought I was on Freak Republic by mistake, just like I did with several posters on my homeless thread. How would YOU have liked it if people had been cruel and dismissive and arrogant and nasty and basically told you to go throw yourself off a cliff? But they wouldn't do that to YOU now, would they?

Life is hard-Damn straight. Life has not been good to me lately.

I am still not gonna pile it on someone who, whether through depression or whatever, is reaching out.

Not even someone who does not say thank you. Not even someone who gives terse answers.

I will assume that that person is having some type of mental problem, or personality problem, and let it be.

I have been following the story, have told him to stop whining, have been rather stern with him from time to time.

But no one makes my read his threads.
