Who do you think will be TIME Magazine's Person of the Year?
Edited on Mon Nov-24-03 07:44 PM by ih8thegop
They will announce it in a few weeks!

My thoughts are:

  1. Duh-bya
  2. Saddam
  3. U.S. Troops
  4. Jacko
  5. Pope John Paul II
  6. Those who died in 2003 (Barry White, Katharine Hepburn, David Brinkley, Gregory Peck, Bob Hope, Strom Thurmond, Johnny and June Carter Cash)

7. Should Be "The Protestors"
but why should they get any recognition by the media now? What was I thinking? Nevermind that more people protested in the world than ever before in history.

3. Donald Rumsfeld

After all, they choose Hilter in 1938. They should follow tradition.

15. Well, the person who has (unfortunately) had most impact:
is Saddam-- who really didn't have to do ANYTHING, but play the background boogeyman.

22. Who should be DU's "Person of the Year?"
I'm thinking someone like Jim McDermott, Bernie Saunders, et al who've really stirred things up in a liberal/progressive/Bush-is-a-poopyhead sort of way.

I'm still liking Zell Miller for the Goober of the Year, though certainly there are other contestants nipping at his heels.
