Do anyone really like shirts with loads of decals and patches? |
|
today I am altering my husband's christmas gift from his stepmother...it is a ralph lauren polo shirt that has an embroidered polo logo on one side (which I can't remove because it is tightly stitched onto a knit shirt)...and a patch of a castle...the patch...that is what I seam ripped right off...
My husband likes the shirt but he was a bit put off by the whole patch business...especially given the fact that it already had a logo on one side of the shirt...

3. I am a human billboard for the corporate owners of my identity. |

My mother gave me a polyester fleece sweater once witha rubber tag sewn onto the sleeve that read "Tommy Hilfiger." Since that it not my name and I did not want to be seen as a fashion victim, I cut it off and replaced it with my Apollo 8 patch which is much cooler. My mother was all irritated.

And I manage to get at least one type shirt or sweater like this each Christmas-- From my sisters in law. I love them to death and we get along good but their tastes in clothing is not mine. One especially, likes to give "whimsical" type sweaters. I got one this year with a snow globe, a reindeer and an evergreen tree on it. Last year when we opened gifts she gave me one that had little felt like cut out chicks, and other animals on it. She told me she thought of me when she saw the sweater. Don't know how. I never wear anything remotely like that. They also like to give me stuff in colors I don't ever wear. Oh well, at least someone will get to wear the stuff when I donate it.

13. I don't mind "tacky" occasionally |

tacky can be fun. And I love Halloween kitsch. But I do draw the line at Disney paraphernalia.

8. no...I haven't but I am looking at some info about it on google |
|
sounds interesting...
I am really not keen on being "trendy"...my husband bought me Coach handbag about 6 years ago for Christmas (it is the only purse I own now...and it is really well made)...BUT...I took off the crazy tag that signifies that it is a Coach purse...and I threw that away. Now the only people who have ever known what it is are those people that are keen on that stuff..and it surprises me how many people really do seem to know about this stuff...kinda freaky.
