It's great. Except for now, when the snow buries everything.

2. I am... I love it. I wish I had enough time to do it more.
But it is something my oldest daughter and I really enjoy.

4. You hide trinkets in a container, note the location precisely
then post the cache on a website.
Others then try to find your cache and exchange trinkets from other caches.
Just an excuse to play with our GPS units and spend some time in the woods.

5. I was wondering if it had to do with GPS
That sounds like a lot of fun. Like a great, big scavenger hunt. Can you suggest any links? I'd like to find out more about it.
Thanks, in advance!

6. Well put
I'm fairly new at it, I just got my GPS in September. Fun little gadget. Found a few, haven't placed any yet.

http://www.geocaching.com/ for the curious.

7. Holy moly!
I just typed in my zip code and found over 500 listings within a ten mile radius of my house. I live near a wildlife preserve/historical area so I guess it's a prime zone. I ride my bike and hike there but had no idea all of this was going on. Just found myself a new hobby. I've never heard of geocaching before but this seems right up my alley. Thanks so much for posting this!

Orientering.

Cheers

11. That is exactly what it is... a cross between scavenger and Orienteering

9. ME ME ME. I love it.
I have a Meridian Gold GPS which is pretty accurate. A friend of mine has an older Magellan without a map and not as accurate. Geocaching is actually MORE fun with his because you have to spend additional effort trying to figure out where a good hiding place might be.

I've seen some pretty danged ingenious caches, including several hidden downtown in plain sight, with hundreds of people walking right past them and not having a clue!
