4. I'm sorry, I know some days the universe just seems to
offer nothing but resistence. I know things will get better for you.

:pals:

I actually had a good day. I had some numbers at one of my jobs (which the department has struggled with all summer) come in really excellent this morning. When that's happened in the past, I've heard a lot of relief or immediate strategy sessions to capitalise on the trend. The new boss person today wasn't worried about covering his ass, though. When I called him to tell him what the final result was he said "Nice work!" He actually gave me credit for my efforts and praised them before he even considered what he'd be saying to the mugwumps in meetings later in the week.

I've been feeling pretty good about it all afternoon. In fact I felt so good that I immediately went looking for things to say "nice work!" about to the folks who have to call me 'boss person.'
