I've got a couple of hours in town at the end of the week, between family events (you know, Thanksgiving dinner, watching the tiny niece in the Nutcracker, a christening, etc.).
Anything I should hit while I'm in Dallas?

:-) They have some really good museums!
Or, if you like baseball, take the tour of the Stadium the Chimp screwed Arlington out of. It's a beautiful ball park, I'll give 'em that.

the Kimball Art Museum is wonderful. So is the Museum of Natural History.
If you'd rather do sports instead, the Ballpark is beautiful. They have a History of the Game Museum there that is open pretty much year-round.
Would be cool if some Dallas DUers wanted to get together. I'm gonna be up that direction myself for the holiday. Have a safe trip.

I love that place. You can also go to a little-known, fun museum called the "Conspiracy Museum". It's in the old Katy building near Dealey Plaza.

My sister works there, so I have to plug it.
Plus, with all the Kennedy stuff back in the news the last few days, it is very timely.

I went there several times with out-of-town guests when I lived there. They always loved it and talked about it for weeks afterwards. It's a great walk back into history, and they add to its collection all the time.
Last time I was there they had the actual camera Abraham Zapruder used for his famous assassination footage, and the actual model used by the Warren Commission to explain their version of the events. And you can walk around on the Grassy Knoll with the other visitors and decide for yourselves about what happened that day.

If I were going to be in town, I'd offer to show you around (but I'm leaving for the Guadalupe Mtns Friday AM). Let's see, what to do in Dallas? Downtown Dallas has quite a lot of interesting things -- Museum of Art, Dallas Aquarium, Fair Park Natural History Museum and IMAX theater, Schoolbook Depository (fascinating place), the Dallas Zoo.
The weather promises to be fantastic and I hope you have a wonderful visit to my fair city.

I have thoroughly enjoyed both the Dallas and Fort Worth zoos.
