Anyone ever pour orange juice on their cereal by mistake?
I did, and man, it is ever TART. Honey Nut Cheerios and Orange Juice are NOT a new trend, I am sorry to say. :o

It was truly a brain fart moment, and after I was done laughing my ass off, I had to explain to KadeCarrion WHY I was laughing so hard, and then SHE couldn't stop laughing.

I will be reminded of this ignoble moment for many, many years... :D

... and thought I was making a screwdriver but instead made a vodka-soy milk juice. I made it a double, which was rather like a yogurt/juice eggnog thing. Won't do it again, but it was not unpleasant.

3. Ever put cereal in a glass instead of a bowl?
I've done that a few times.

My crowning achievement, however, is putting a 2 gallon container of milk in the microwave and leaving it there for about a minute before realizing I had done it.

pouring milk on cheezits thinking it was cereal. He decided it was too cheezy for cereal. *snicker*

13. it's the cheeziest!
When I was 7, I left a fairly new gallon of vanilla ice cream in the CUPBOARD overnight!!!! My Mom, an early riser, found it so hilarious that she left the results for me to see the next morning, mostly for instructional/reminder reasons. Apparently, I have always been flaky! :D

I can still see the vanilla puddle on the counter below, and the drip, drip, drip of ice cream coming from the cabinet bottom, lol.

20. My husband carries
cleaning supplies in his car. He had a bottle of applie juice and a bottle of pine oil on the front seat of his car. You guessed it - he picked up the wrong one and took a sip. He says that pine oil definitely does not taste good and it burns. I had to search the internet to see if the amount he drank was dangerous. Thankfully, he didn't get enough down to be harmful, but said his throat and mouth burned for hours.

32. coffee mistakes
Edited on Tue Nov-25-03 08:58 PM by put out
Many. Pouring coffee into a saucer. Pouring coffee onto an
overturned cup (they are in the cabinet this way). Making
coffee in a percolator (remember those?) with the lid off.
Phenomenal, the force of percolating coffee. Tearing salad
lettuce into a glass tumbler. Not a coffee mistake, but I
have done orange juice in coffee. I'm trying to get better,
but the other day I stared stupidly at the maker before
realizing I hadn't thought to press the appropriate button.

My edit, spelling and I probably didn't get them all.

but I did get my friend's dad to pour kool-aid on his cereal once. It was in one of those milk gallon-jug things that are frosted so you can't see in them, and he confused the kool-aid with the real milk (since they were in identical jugs :))

I had a mental image of a pregnant friend of mine who insists on having milk with her tea ... we've always joked that in an emergency, and nobody else was around, she wouldn't have to run out to the store ...

p.s. re: the cereal thing, I once poured the milk that was supposed to go on my cereal into a glass that already had cranberry juice in it. Actually it wasn't too bad, curdling aside ....

There was no milk or cream, but I needed something for coffee (it was my own at least). It's sweeter, so you need less sugar, but works fine.
