I had my first post deleted - ask me anything!

So, is 655 posts before a deletion a record? Should I be aiming for a certain ratio of posts to deletions? Will this thread sink like the others I've started? We shall see (no, ozymandias, I'm not gonna even try)

That happened to me once on a cut-n-paste posting.

6. Well, there was a word in caps in the text,

describing a geographic location inhabited by red-skinned locals with hoofs, tails, and horns, who delight in sadistic tortures and turning the thermostat waaay up. I used the name of the location as an expletive, however - maybe that was the problem.

were you aiming for the least posts before you had one deleted or the most? Cause I didn't have a post deleted until just after 3000. Happened to me about a week ago.

do it again in a flash! Course, at my late 50's age, don't know how often I can get that worked up. I dunno whether I'm aiming for least or most before a deletion. Guess I should shoot for a ratio, since it looks like you've got most tied up.

I'd never had a post deleted before yesterday. I think I only had one post locked before that. (It was a dupe.)

How do you know when a post has been locked or deleted? Do you get an e-mail, or do you have to go back and look at your post?

9. You go back & look at the thread, and

there's this "post deleted" thing where your post used to be. Click on "poster" on a deleted post; there's a cute little tombstone deal.
