4. Huh. We could talk about how gross mentos are.
But I've never had them, so I couldn't contribute much to the conversation.

you know...

7. What would you consider a more effective "freshmaker."
I like wintergreen tic-tacs and those cinnamon altoid strips that melt on your tongue.

11. Well, the altoid is a curiously strong mint, but if we are
talking about the strips, listerine makes some seriously strong ones (I hate them though)

16. But altoids supposedly serve the dual purpose of being a "marital aid,"
as well as a breath freshener. I've not heard that claim made of other mints!:o

23. You're supposed to eat one and then...uh....
perform certain "favors." It's supposed to feel interesting. No, I've never tried it- those things burn my tongue enough.

26. "favors"?
What? Like paint the trim? Do the laundry? Pick up the kids?...

Oh, WAIT! I see your meaning! What you're speaking of is related
to mowing the lawn or trimming the hedges...

Okay... Got ya, loud and clear. :patriot:

42. It's only a theory, mind you...
But, as they lay on store shelves for years the chemical wintergreen flavoring
breaks down the the hard candy and turns it into a powder... They dissolve right
away when placed in the mouth. I like the flavor, which is more sweet than Altoids.

I've also noticed this same effect in Altoids over time.

9. Interesting. I have a few moments.
This past May, I went to see the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and that was AWESOME. So, for now, that is at the top of my list.

24. Well, it's as close as I could get to the real deal.
I mean I can't bring them back so I enjoyed what I had. I have seen lots of people that I really loved, but since that was the most recent, that was what I chose. I also have seen Bonnie Rait, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, BB King, Garth Brooks (who I loved btw), WSP, etc.

Golden Palominos, Cat's Cradle, Chapel Hill, Spring 1987, or maybe Husker Du a couple years earlier in Raleigh, or maybe John Lee Hooker at an outdoor street festival when I was a bit too young to appreciate him

10. Hi Shell!
checking in from the west coast...
looks like today we're FINALLY gonna get to see some that bright shiny thing in the sky I have vague memories of...

In the meantime, I'm in the midst of 9 loads of laundry, balancing our checkbook, taking the lights off our fire-hazardous dried out tree and going food shopping.

Are you thrilled, or what??
:hi:

How's life on your end today??

28. Went out job hunting this morning.
I knew from the beginning that the job I'm at was going to be temporary and I'm getting the feeling that it's time to move on-mostly from the hateful little maggots w/ their "holier than thou" attitudes.
Got one decent lead this morning. We'll see where it goes.

Not a high-paying job but decent enough and in a field that I enjoy (mental health). And the group is still young so there is always the chance for promotion w/ growth of the company!

36. You too!
My position could be permanent but never completely full time(as in benefits full time. I can get 40+ but no benefits whatsoever). And it's not in a field that I really enjoy so...
I knew that, after the new year, it was time to start the search again.
