Stop advertizing on Rush Limbaughs' show. He is a ridiculous, mean-spirited person who spews hate and incites the degradation of our already fragile political discourse. Should you continue to support him, I will be forced to discontinue purchasing items from your store or catalog.

5. I've never been to a Cracker Barrel

When they opened their first franchise in the Detroit area, they were picketed heavily for having a policy of firing employees if management found out they were gay. This rather soured my perception and I never went. I have friends with kids that love the place, for some reason. I'll stick with Big Boy for travel food, Waffle House if I'm south of Toledo.

8. Since they fired the waitress for being lesbian we stopped going.

We take a lot of road trips (and I mean a lot) so we pass them all the time for years we would joke, “Do you want to stop for some lesbian free food?” and the other would always say “Naw.” The kids have heard our weird joke their whole lives. I don’t understand why we thought it was funny, but we did get a kick out of ourselves.

It eventually got old so now we just don’t stop, without the joke, but I know we both think it when we pass one.

But what's the point? Unless these advertisers are idiots(yes, most are) but should't we put MOST of our efforts into increasing debate and talk and not limiting the opponents? They have a waiting list of sponsors. They will just replace them those we scare off.

I mean, pushing and putting our money into liberal talk and debate? Hell Franken and Gore are pushing HARD for alternative talk radio/television. we are wasting our time just trying to limit the right wing pundits. We need less talk, not less. Of course on OUR side.

How are we going to claim the "free speech" mantle on this course?

9. There is likely no point in letting the sponsors know.

The point of advertising on Rush is to know you are pissing people off, if they cared about us they wouldnt' go after his listeners. It must make them money or they wouldn't do it.

But I like to know where not to shop, I'm not going to help any of these businesses bottom lines.

on edit: Chosing where to spend my money is a way for me to use what is left of my right to free speech. They speak, I respond, that is what freedom is. We each have the right.

There is no limitation on Rush's free speech when I spend my money as I please. You totally misunderstand what free speech means.
