"quick 50" another high school horror story |
|
my daughters high school is giving 50 dollars if someone turns in any student for smoking or doing "drugs" or any other illegal actions on school property or off during school hours. just tell the dean of students or the cop at school and get 50 bucks. they have cards that you can turn in and if the person you ratted on get`s found guilty you get 50 dollars.."quick 50" is the new program... nothing like teaching kids to be little informers for the fatherland

This could not have been well thought out. Kids that age will mess you over for free; add major money and you might as well kiss your life goodbye. :(

Somebody pisses you off, stick a joint or better yet a pistol in their locker, fill out a form and voila, you're $50 richer and your nemesis is gone. Boy oh boy ain't we got fun.

2. They had something like that where I student-taught |
|
They gave out maybe two awards. (And there were guns and drugs aplently at said school.)
...but for smoking? Hm...if I called the cops and got $50 per person for ratting on everyone in high school who was smoking underage, my college would have been paid for. And I would have gotten revenge on quite a few people who pissed me off over the years. And I would have been a raging hypocrite, but that's another story...

10. Mr Gelb the English Teacher |
|
He use to come over to my house and go to rock concerts with us. We found out that he was selling Pot to the kids one day because when we went over to his apt. in Oak Park he had luggages full and he must have been bringing it in from Mexico or some other place.
Do you remember him? He looked like Cat Stevens and he use to play records in our English Class and you would have to write about what the Artist was trying to say through his music. I had him for 4 years because he was also the head of the Newspaper.

12. Nah, I was in Ms. Rhoden's Honors English |
|
classes for four years. In other words, I spent four years studying Beowolf. Once I got out of there and my education began, I was absolutely appalled, and still am, at what a pitiful education I got at Roosevelt.

13. Mr Gelb went to Prison |
|
When I went to my class reunion everyone was talking about him going to prison. He had a thing for younger girls if you know what I mean.
Do you remember Rich Gelb?

7. Follow and report on all of the illegal activities... |
|
...of the sponsors of this idiotic idea.
Put up a counter-offer of $50 for information pertaining to the illicit and or illegal activities on the heads of these idiots. Let it be publically known what your doing and the intention is to get these people canned.
I'm sure that the students will be FAR more receptive to this.

They are less likely to tell your wife.
Is it legal to pay an underage child as a police informant?
I mean since the Salem Witch trials, minor witnesses have been suspect , right?
I would call the ACLU.
Isn't intimidating the public a crime of terror now? Shouldn't the administrator that made this idea up be in Guantanamo?

Imperial Amerika will very shorty be a very ugly place, like some 1950s science fiction dystopia novel. We're already halfway there. http://216.239.41.104/search?q=cache:Vh67zDDRzvgJ:www.citizencorps.gov/programs/vips.shtm+Citizen+Corps+VIPs&hl=en&ie=UTF-8(for some reason, the site is currently down...probably updating their Fatherland Duties Page or something) www.citizencorps.gov
