3. All last week was just fucking horrible.
Two accidents in the lab cost about two weeks of work and probably a hundred bucks in supplies. And I had another bike stolen, the second in about 6 months. I'm leaving for T-day tomorrow and I'm just going to recuperate until monday.

4. Mine sort of stunk
The last few days we have been really busy and on top of that I'm trying to teach other people how to run other assays (I'm in a diagnostic lab). We were notified about a large shipment requesting some really expensive Hepatitis kits that we didn't have enough of. I ordered some yesterday and when we received the samples today there wasn't enough serum to run any of them. That could be a loss of over $1000 if we don't get any requests for these tests since they often expire before we use them all.
Whenever work sucks I just try to keep thinking 'Hey at least you have a job even though there's a Bush in the WH.'

5. okay beat this
We live in Maine, the brand new furnace (okay four years old) quit yesterday and we had no heat or hot water. My teenagers had to take cold showers this a.m. and complained about it big time. The phone was ready to be cut off so I got our payroll check in the mail and had to cash enough into cash and drive to another branch office to make a cash deposit to clear the phone payment. As I was loading the wood stove in the cellar, the dog came down stairs and looked at me and peed all over the extentions cord to the overhead lamp. Last night, The ferral cat woke me up at 3 a.m. (by making a toll call to china on the speaker phone while he was climbing onto the windowsill and I had to let him and the dog out. The senile dog forgot what he was doing and got lost outside for a good 45 minutes. I was cold and I turned the heat up but the furnace was gone again. I called the furnace guy three times today but to no awail. This afternoon, my mother who livies with us told me she needed an enema and could I administer it...

7. not me
I live with the most beautiful woman in the world, who also happens to be the sweetest, smartest, and funniest person too. We have a good place to live, family, and friends - a great cat, a warm bed, food to eat...

I have my bad days too, as do we all - but in the arc of things, look at what you have, and not at what you lack. You may be surprised what a difference that makes.

9. My kid has chicken pox. And he took the vax!
My child who didn't take the vax doesn't have it, at least not yet. If he gets it, he'll really bloom.

But that isn't too bad.

The good news is I was talking to a Toys R Us employee while I was shopping for my kids' Christmas stuff there. I was telling her wild boars couldn't drag me into Wal-Mart. She told me that Toy R Us gave her health insurance from day one! Hurray for TRU!

13. I have
the last few weeks have been shitty. Had the flu, have an awful fibromyalgia/CFS flare up, am having a hard time finding work (but most of my friends are OUT of work, so I don't feel so bad) I've maxed out my credit and the IRS just sent me a bill for underpayment of taxes (what do I pay that accountant for anyway?) I can't pay my car insurance and can't afford Christmas gifts...but the economy is surging! Yeah, right. :eyes:

15. I have a 101.4 temp
Achy all over with chills and a cough. Worried I might be developing bronchitis. My husband is in a lousy mood and an old friend died the other day. Must be something in the air.
