Why the heck does Bill Gates look smug'n'arrogant in EVERY PICTURE HE'S IN

Every freakin' time I see his ugly face, he's got this petty look on his face.

So, bookmark the following site every time you see Gates' arrogant snotty face:

Oh yeah, don't let Bill answer a damn thing unless it's "How are you going to protect your monopoly?" Even then he'll dodge the issue or lie.

4. I'm no fan of Bill ...
and I can't stand Microsoft products, but Bill Gates puts his money where his mouth is. He is very charitable, and for a person as rich as he is, he is quite down to earth.

Cheers
Drifter

5. Gates tops list of givers
http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/03_48/b3860601.htm

Perhaps the only thing harder than building a great fortune is giving one away. At least that's the conclusion you might draw after looking at how hard the megagivers on our second annual ranking of top philanthropists work at the task. At No. 1 on our list, William H. Gates III and his wife, Melinda, are the reigning royalty of a new class of self-made superphilanthropists. Along with Michael and Susan Dell, PeopleSoft co-founder David Duffield and his wife, Cheryl, and eBay Inc. (EBAY )'s first president, Jeffrey S. Skoll, they're schooling society in the ways of conspicuous donation.

9. I LOVE Bill Gates' Math!
He said he wanted to give away his entire forture - or most of it - several years ago. I did some research, and I think he first said it about five years ago or more.

So when's he going to start? I mean, how can you set out to give away even half your fortune and still be the world's richest jerk, five years later?

7. Bill Gates - charitable and down to Earth???
Don't let Microsoft's propaganda fool you; Bill Gates is an AS*HOLE.

He had a reputation as an extraordinarily arrogant snot even at the exclusive Lakeside School for Boys. His father is a sleazy corporate attorney. His business partner, Paul Allen, may be an even bigger jerk than Gates.

If you lived in Seattle and rubbed elbows with some of Bill Gates' hired guns, I think you'd have a different perspective. But what galls me most of all is this nonsense about Gates' charity. When are people going to realize that donating money isn't the same thing as philanthropy?

You need to figure out exactly where the money's going and how it's being used. If I give $10 million to Osama bin Laden, does that make me a philanthrophist? In that spirit, Bill Gates gives millions of dollars to corrupt school officials - NOT children. He gave a mint to my school district, and we've continued to deteriorate.

Bill Gates is far more powerful and evil than most people realize. Posing with the Muppets doesn't change anything.

8. I grew to hate him when I lived in Seattle, because MS is Seattle's Holly-
wood. They feel as if they're kissing celebrity butt when they fawn all over him.

11. Before putting Gates up for sainthood, remember the copyright laws
he defends are also used to keep medicine costs high in the third world.

16. Can you spell P-R-O-P-A-G-A-N-D-A?
Use a little logic: Bill Gates is the richest man on Earth. That means he can afford the best propaganda. His empire is also taking a lot of hits, so he's depserate to promote himself as a friend of the community, rather than the enemy.

In that light, Gates' stand on the Estate Tax is simply underwhelming. There's a big difference between saying you support the Estate Tax and actually fighting for it. I can name dozens of local crooks who claim they speak for teachers in Olympia (our capital), and they probably do - a token speech every two or three months.

17. I'm laughing at the fools who praise Gates because he gives lots of money
away - without questioning HOW it's used or WHY he does it. If you want to see an example of an organization that has benefitted from Bill Gates' philanthropy - NOT - check out the Seattle School District. Or check out public education in general. It's amazing how Gates can claim to care so much about education yet remain just as clueless about education as most Democrats (even if Gates is a closet Republican).

How pathetic.

21. Are you kidding me?
The man gives away millions to many causes. I don't care if you want to look down on the guy. The fact is he is out there doing something, and I think these attacks are nothing more then your typical "we hate the rich because their rich" crap.

But then again why don't you get a job in the developement department of a charity and see just how few and far between these types of donations are.

19. Bill Gates is considered by many who know about these things
to be mildly autistic, to have Asperger's syndrome. He definitely shows some characteristic signs of it (I have a son with AS, so I know some of what I'm talking about) but since I've never met the man in person, it's hard to say.

The important thing here is that someone with Asperger's has a great deal of difficulty connecting with other human beings. They can seem self-centered and rude, even when they are trying their level best to be otherwise. Most of the time they simply cannot tell what kind of affect they're having on others.

My point is that Gates probably can't really control his behavior as well as most of us here (and I already know there are DUers with Asperger's), so perhaps you could cut him a little slack.
