Movie Time: "The Ring" vs "The Ring 2" |
|
we watched the first one last weekend (finally) and JUST finished the 2nd one. we enjoyed them. freaky but not bloody.
interesting story line (we thought). ending of the 2nd one was a little let down but still cool.
worth the rentals IMHO

1. I liked them both, too |

I thought The Ring was scarier, but I've talked to several people who thought the opposite. It may have been 'cause I saw it at the theater on Halloween night so was in a better frame of mind for that kind of movie. The second one does get a little more out there, but also has pretty disturbing parts like the scene with the deer towards the beginning. Good, freaky stuff.

4. The first Ring (as well as the original Ringu) were killer. |

Ring 2 sucked major ass. I wanted it to be good, but the shocks were cheap compared to the first film. I figured with Hideo Nakata (ringu's director)at the helm, that it would be a great follow-up. i was disappointed.
on edit- I now see that all the "Ringu" films are available on DVD now. I'll have to check them out...
