Do your dog's feet smell like buttered popcorn?
My dog's feet do. My husband and son think so, too, so it isn't just peculiar to my nose. I wonder what molecules popcorn and dog's feet might share?

18. Ew, yuck, puke, YES, you're right...
Dog's feet DO smell like corn chips. My ex used to say this constantly. My ex (bless her sweet, kind, animal-lovin' heart) is a dog lover. I am a cat person. I had hoped that the "corn-chip smell" phenomenon had been erased from my mind competely, but YOU had to go bring it up.

Ew, ew, ew, EWWWWW! But you're right. They do smell like corn chips.

Thanks -- I can never again eat Frito-Lays!

Ew, ew, ew, ewewewewewewewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... Oy!

Sometimes we refer to him as "Frito foot" just to be funny.

OK, of all the thread titles posted here, this has to be right up there for one of the craziest.

Still laughing at it, though.

10. Yes, my dog's paws always smell like popcorn...
after I take her to the movies....

Actually, her feet really do smell like popcorn. I don't know, but you're very observant. Weird, but observant.

13. LOL, I heard about a man who had a pet duck he adores...
This man takes his duck everywhere he goes. The thing they like to do best together is see western movies, they just love them.

While walking down the street one day they came across a movie theater that was playing their all time favorite western, so the man decided to go inside and watch the movie, but the woman selling the tickets said "I'm sorry, but there are no pets allowed in the theater".

The man was outraged and really wanted to see the movie, so he went around the corner and shoved the duck down his pants then went back to the theater to see the movie.

Once inside, he got to his seat and pulled down his zipper so the duck could watch the movie with him.

Along came two girls who sat beside him.

A short time later the first girl whispered to the second girl, "The guy next to me is exposing himself!".

The second girl replied "So what, you've seen one you've seen them all".

First Girl snapped back, "Yeah, but this one is eating my popcorn!"

16. Only on occassion.
Not as often as one would expect. I'm kind of worried about it, actually. If he doesn't start smelling more buttery soon (and NOT that "lite" butter), I'm going to have to drag him into the vet. :9

My dog's feet fall into the cornchip camp. Doritos in fact. Wouldn't want to do a blind taste test, it's so close. :silly:

20. Steve Irwin (or some other Animal Planet guru) Was On Ellen Degeneres Show
and had some animal that was WIDELY KNOWN for smelling like buttered popcorn. Some tree-dwelling marsupial I believe... but I can't be certain.

23. heres one
Actual cats feet, grandmother induced, butter, thingy,

My grandmother would put butter on her cats feet whenever they moved to a new apartment. They were outdoor cats, and she did this so they could find there way home.

I guess their little cat feet smelled like butter for a little while.

26. A smart Grandma you have!
I moved to a neighboring town once and my big, beautiful male tabby tiger 'Mr. Ticket' YOWLED because I was trying to keep him in the house under advice of my mom's cousin, who knew more about cats than I did. He hated being cooped up. Finally ,though it was starting to rain, he seemed so desperate to get out that I caved. A few days later I put a "LOST CAT" notice, with his photo, on every door step around my small town block. Three weeks later a woman two houses away called and said she thought my cat had been hanging out under her neighbor's deck and snitching their cats' food. She had kept my notice on her fridge, and this guy looked like the photo. Sure enough, it was good old Ticket, and I, very happy and relieved, took him home.
Shoulda buttered his feet as he went out the door!

30. Now you know why I hate popcorn
Actually my dogs feet smell more like our backyard...but maybe that's because they trod there quite often.

Our dogs farts smell like the grease bin in the back of a fast food restaraunt - does that count?

...undefinable 'doggy' smell.

I'm going home right now to smell his feet and see if I can put a name to it.
