Lonely? Bored? Depressed? Start a bash thread!

The one-way ticket to emotional comfort at DU! Don't be put off by their complete lack of any practical use, the hatred and vitriol that will be spewed over hundreds of posts--these threads bring out what is best in any society: petty personality brawls!

We all love our own personalities, and this is a way to crash them together on an epic scale. Follow the basher's handbook:

1. Be decided on exactly two candidate, one to love and one to bash!

2. Always post as though voicing a heartfelt concern.

3. Never post any heartfelt concerns about your own candidate.

4. Any fading fragment of a soundbite, properly interpreted, can be bashworthy!

5. Always misquote, insult, and otherwise distract fellow posters--a calm discussion of the facts is hardly any fun. Myopic, petty anger is the way of the bash!

6. The best candidates to attack are those who are slowly fading, or those who are building up steam.

7. Never forget to pat Kucinich, Sharpton, or Moseley-Braun on the head.

8. Always defend your bash by saying it helps get the information on the candidates out there.

9. Always repeat the tired bashes everyone knows ad nauseum, even if proven false, until you hear fellow DUers bash their brains out at their computers to stop seeing "Skull and Bones!" or "Aspen!". That's the sound of victory!
