What does your dog smell like?
I think my dog smells like clean leather.

His breath, on the other hand, depending on the time of day ranges from the aromas of squirrel shit to Milk Bones.

5. My dogs' feet smell like popcorn.
Overall, they smell like the nearby woods (unless they've been rolling in something).

2. Fish.
Chow-chows are supposed to be odorless, but mine smells to high heaven. I have tried breath freshening dog snacks to no avail. When I bathe her, she smells like smelly wet dog with a slight hint of floral. I think she gets excited and sweats through her paws and tongue or something.

6. Honey, apparently.
Mrs. Robb insisted this when we first got out little girl dog. No, no, I said. Just smells like a dog.

So we're waiting for a ride one afternoon and this little boy and his friend (maybe 6-ish) comes up, asks to pet her. Sure.

"Ooh," says the boy. "She smells like honey!"

There'll be no living with her after this.

11. a stray 5-6 week old lab puppy arrived at my gate at 4am today
first thing i did was bathe him and feed him.

he's a beauty, but i have 6 dogs already who are freaking out as the puppy jumps up to suckle from them.

off to the vet and drop $100-150 for shots.

if i keep him i will name him frodo, since this is the 5th stray that wandered to my gate in the last 3 years. i think there is a psychic doggie hotline that tells them to get to my house for safety, like frodo with rivendell
