loss of flexable reading skills
is it just me or are people losing the capability to be felxable in their reading skills? i cant tell how many times people say they cant understand me, but when i read what i put i understand it perfectly. its almost as if people are being more and more robotic when reading things, if it dosnt have 100% perfect grammer, they dont know what they are reading.

recently i sent something to my local paper's opinion section, its a little long but the editer replied back saying that my run on sentences makes it impossable to read or understand.... i dont think so, what do you think?

orignal message:
I can't believe how far some people are straying from their countries own history. Our country was founded on the idea of freedom from religious persecution and later for its ideas of civil rights for all. And now people are questioning gay marriage? Even if people wish to call it civil unions, its about as politically correct as the idea of separate but equal segregation, "either we are drinking from the same fountain or we are not!" also the issue has come up about abortion, this as well as gay marriage, I believe, has vary little effect on the people that so loudly voice their opinions against the two. I'm not gay and I'm not a female, there for gay marriage and abortion should never be my decision to make, because they don’t affect me. For starters we all grow up learning that marriage is all about love, if gay marriage was outlawed it would be a far greater blow to the idea of marriage then legal gay marriage would be, I love my girlfriend, I wish to marry her not because I'm a guy and she's a girl, but because we love each other. Also, it’s a little oppressive for a few people to press their opinions onto the whole of society. Unless one hundred percent of the females rise up and say abortion should be illegal, you cant justify making it illegal for two reasons, abortions aren't required by law, and free will prevents one person from being able to speak for everyone without being misleading. I my self do believe that there is something wrong with abortion, but at the present time it’s the only one hundred percent effective way to prevent child birth, even though this is my opinion I recognize that I don’t speak for everyone, and there for, I don’t ask that my opinion be made into law because another American value, other then civil rights, is the rejection of meaningless oppression by a small minority.

1. I know I can read more "flexibly" (sp) on paper
than I can on screen.

Large blocks of text on screen are very troublesome for me to read.

3. I am also dyslexic (mildly)
I think most people have difficulty with large blocks of text on screen. (I have taken web design classes - and this is one of the concepts in web design...how to format text so people can and will read it.)
