is west wing a rerun tonight? |
|
am too lazy to click on nbc.com and don't have the tv guide handy to look, just thought I would ask here. while on the subject of ww, how does everyone like the "new" west wing without Sorkin's writing? I give it a thumbs up but not quite as high as when Sorin was more hands on.

There's a 2-hour Law & Order, I think.
I was concerned with the first few Sorkin-less episodes but the last 2 have been decent.

2. what was irritating to me was how they "lost power" |

all of a sudden. I understand Bartlett having problems dealing with Zoey's kidnapping and how that could have affected him even after she was returned but the way they were fighting to pass their budget seemed kind of odd although I loved the way it finally turned out. It will be interesting to watch. I would like to see the VP a little more, Gary Cole is awesome.

3. I'm cautiously optimistic. The last two episodes were the first I've |

seen of the new season that were able to replicate, to a certain degree, the style of Sorkin's writing without sounding forced. I keep hoping they'll bring him back in a capacity that improves the show and restores it to its former glory without putting too much deadline pressure on AS. 'Script Polisher' or 'Script Supervisor' or something like that.
I'm just worried that they are trying to turn WW into the melodramatic hell that ER grew into about three years ago. So far, so good, but you never know......

I sometimes wonder how far away WW is from world war and crazy terrorist attacks on the white house every week, ya know?

TWW was my favorite show. With Sorkin gone, it is not the same show; disjointed story-lines; forced delivery; insipid humor. It has also spun right, which I just can't stomach these days. I get enough of that on the rest of the tube, at work, in the papers, gack. No, it was Sorkin's baby and it died when they made him leave. The only thing that surprises me is Sheen has stayed. I expect that has more to do with legal contracts than anything. He must be choking on bile when he has to deliver substandard RW garbage. Fortunately, BRAVO has been carrying reruns. My favorite is "Two Cathedrals".
