I was just about to post what I thought was a pretty whitty response to some question, or at least I thought so while I was typing it. But when I had said what I had to say, and some of it might have been misconstrewed to suggest that I support violence against some of the powers that be, it occured to me that these days we are all subject to what one might politely call oversight.
How do I know who is reading any of this and how do I know how they might interpret something I might say? My identity is no more protected on this computer than it is on the mailbox in front of my house, and in fact moreso by the mailbox. At least I hope the mailbox is more private than the internet - but who knows these days?
So I was thinking that maybe posting anything that might be thought inflamatory by the rightious Right might not be such a good idea? After all, its quite possible they know who you are and they know what you said, and by god you are next on the list. How the hell do I know, how does anyone know who is being held in Cuba, or why.
These are truly scary times when a 50-something american, veteran, mid grade Government empolyee, white, worked all his god damned life Democrat doesn't feel secure from his own Government in his own home chatting with people who he believes to be of like mind about the normal business of the world.

I made a crack in the topic about what you would do if you had one year left to live that i am sure will be in my FBI file.

2. You are achieveing true wisdom, grasshopper |

Even paranoids have enemies. I think you can take it to the bank that this group is being scanned by lots of people, some official, some not and that anything that YOU have doubts about, others will have NO doubts about.
The Miami situation demonstrates plainly how far the powers-that-be are willing to go, and empower their minions to go. There is no room for illusions or wishful thinking. That is why (I know you guys are getting bored with this, if you haven't "blocked" me already) I keep telling everyone to stay the hell out of Dodge, or at least New York CIty next September.
Just BEING there is reason enough for the authorities to go after you and, as hard as it might be to swallow, showing up for a mass demonstration of opposition is a lot like being a Christian in the Colloseum carrying a "down with lions" sign.
John Wayne is quoted as saying "a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do," which is true enough. But sometimes what a man's gotta do is use his God given brains and not put himself in harm's way.

here. Quite awhile ago, maybe a year or so. Got a call from the fbi. Big brother does monitor this place, that's a fact. It is also very likely they monitor the flip side of the coin ( free republic ). Anything that may somehow be construed as any kind of threat or ill wishing towards the president or any of the elites in power in the U.S. is wiser left out of print.

4. Oh, I don't think the Busheviks montior their chums at all |
|
At NaziStormtrooper.com, there are every day spun fantasies of the random and not so random murder of liberals.
Selective enforcement and prosecution is a hallmark of Third-World and Totalitarian Nations, which is what the Imperial Family is dragging us towards.
No, it is only WE who are being monitored. You can make book on that.
Might as well ask if Hitler was monitoring teh Borwnshirts for unlawful activities.
If there is any monitoring of NaziStormtrooper.com full of Freeptards, there won't be after the NEXT Bushevik Purge ("Reorganization", in Bushevik Soviet-style NewSpeak).

5. I became aware of how scary the US is when Paul Wellstone died. |
|
Everyone I talked to said they thought he might have been murdered by repugs. I realized how totally nuts our society has become when good, smart, reasonable people think that politicians might commit murder right here in the good ole USA. Still, I don't care what I say and write. Screw the bastard overseers.

6. I've thought about this |
|
I'd never post anything advocating violence because of that and I wouldn't be surprised if all of us and our IP addresses are in some database somewhere.
However, I deal with this frequently on a more personal level with everything I write here being watched, monitorred, and miscontrued, don't I, Mr. "Feeling Melancholy"? (who knows who he is)
