My Rant (Read at your own risk)

I fully expect A) This post will be deleted or B) I'll be tombstoned. That being said, I don't give a flying fuck. This is something I need to say. Those of you who have seen me post in the past should know by now I'm a nice guy, and I don't get into arguments, and I try to respond to less-than-flattering comments with diplomacy. So you should also know I don't make these comments lightly. But just once, the gloves are coming off.

I'm pissed off.

There are several blatently vindictive, petulant, mean-spirited guttersnipes here that have been hijacking and ruining a few otherwise productive and interesting threads lately. To you brats, and you know who you are: NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR IT. SHUT THE FUCK UP IF YOU CAN'T PLAY NICE.

This is supposed to be an adult meeting place. I enjoy coming here to read about and discuss the latest world-shaking news, along with perusing a fair dose of fresh information and conversation on a surprisingly wide array of subjects, topped off by indulging in just a modicum of light-hearted banter and camaraderie. For the most part, this is what I've partaken of throughout my many visits here.

Granted, no one can agree with everything said here all the time, and it's obviously impossible for everyone to like each other all the time. That's just the real world butting in. Mostly, we deal with it. Still, that doesn't excuse the pre-kindergarten tantrums I've been watching rear up lately as more than one thread has been hijacked by the children among us!

To borrow a well-known phrase, "Shut up. SHUT UP. Just SHUT UP!" When you feel a whine coming on concerning a percieved personal insult or attack on your honor, simply back away from the keyboard. Turn the computer off. Open the window, let some sunlight in. Better yet, go out, take a walk, play with the dog and cat, or lead your S.O. into the bedroom and have a romp. This meeting place will still be here an hour later, and hopefully after your break you'll have had second thoughts about disrupting the thoughts and moods of everyone else here, and your response will be more measured, considered, logical, and NICE.

No one here wants to share in your bad moods or your bruised ego. No one here needs to have you insult them, denigrate them, dismiss them and their thoughts, and generally stomp around the forums like a spoiled child, wreaking uninvited havoc. Just take your little hissy fits and stick 'em where they belong, which, in case it's not clear to you yet, IS ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.

It's time to put the adults back in charge.

I've had my say, such as it is. Mods and posters alike, take it for what you think it's worth. Do what you will. I do not intend to make any further comment in this thread, and I will not respond to any comments. My words stand as they are.

That said I also agree with you, but try to just skip over what I don't want to read.
