2. What I used to do when I was in the Navy
to defeat the dogs, was take resin from a pot pipe and smear it in between the bricks and other places it wouldn't be washed out of in the hallways and other common areas. The dogs alert to drugs being present where they obviously arent and end up being useless.

14. Crumbs and seeds mixed with Cyanide...
Solves the "dog problem" but GOOD...

The guy who told me about it said "The dog handlers were highly pissed"

My method doesn't hurt anyone.

5. I Think This Needs To Be In The GD Forum
It sounds like someone in authority has warped the "Patriot" Act to support their own agenda.

Some parents in South Carolina are up in arms over a drug raid this week at their children's high school. After the principal expressed suspicions that there was a growing drug problem among the students, police raided the school with guns drawn. And a security surveillance camera caught it all as it happened.
http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v03/n1763/a03.html?999

the irony of being caught by one's own form of Big Brother

this fascist stuff needs to be nipped in the bud
````````````````````````````````````````````````
An early morning drug raid in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Police, some with guns drawn, ordering high school students to the floor, with school surveillance cameras capturing the action.
Mr. THOMAS WALTZ ( Stratford High School Student ): Cops came in the school at about 6:00 and told everybody to get up against the wall and searched everybody for drugs and guns.
TEAGUE: Police handcuffed more than a dozen of the 100-plus students who were in the main hallway, then used dogs to sniff their backpacks for drugs.
Mr. AARON SIMS ( Stratford High School Student ): I mean, I was scared because guns in school.
TEAGUE: For weeks, school officials had suspected an organized marijuana ring was operating in the hallways.
The school principal called police after receiving a tip from a student, then reviewing surveillance footage that showed suspicious activity: A group of students gathering away from cameras, then repeatedly going in and out of a rest room.
7. They did that in my school in Ohio
The students waited in the classroom. Suspected students were called into the office. The one student they did find something on, in his car, was worse off after the arrest than before. They were sure to make his arrest very public. He was an honor role student before the arrest and his grades went downhill after that. He graduated but didn't go to college. He smoked for a year before the arrest.
8. They do this in a lot of highschools
Yes, contrary to popular belief lockers are not private property and can be searched of free will, no need to get the Patriot Act involved-they've been doing this for as long as I can remember. It's happened twice while I've been in highschool.
9. Yup, not patriot act
They did this once a year at the school I went to. They stopped doing it one year when they found an ounce in the Principle's son's locker. That, and 500 dollars in counterfeit 20's.
10. We've been requested to do this at my department
by the schools and it was usually because parents requested it. Believe it or not, a lot of the kids were glad because when the druggies take over, oftentimes they are intimidating. In one high school in my county, "regular" kids were forbidden to use a certain restroom which was considered the property of this group. They hung out in the parking lot and scared kids who weren't part of their clique by cussing them and make suggestive remarks to the girls. Point I'm making is that we don't go into a school unless we are asked to do so! One of our officers went undercover at a high school and after he'd made several drug buys, the cops came in. When the kids found out our officer was really a cop, they started cheering him.
11. So...
Did these drug raids make those druggies in the parking lot and in the bathroom start acting like ladies and gentlemen to their fellow classmates?
(Not dissing you specifically, I just get crazy when I hear about War on Drugs nonsense that is useless to solve the problems it's supposed to.)
13. as a law enforcement officer you concur with the behavior of the SC cops?
drawing their weapons and pointing them at the students without probable cause?
get real, between my mom, step dad, and brother and their 50 combined years as law enforcement agents only once did one of them ever draw their weapon.
those cops were nothing but fucking pseudo-big-balled, red-neck cowboys trying to show how tough they were and had they tried that shit in a road side bar on a saturday night filled with grown men, the cops would have their asses shot off.
the affects on the students will be that they will mistrust cops and be wary of dealing with them all for fear that one of them will draw their weapon.
and that's going to have a greater, long-term negative effect than any blessing from finding a few joints in a school locker.
how do i know this? i was teaching high school the entire week after the incident and none of the students had a positive word to say about it. in fact, it made them mistrust cops more.
had it been one of my children handcuffed they would have needed a crowbar to dislodge my foot from that sheriff's ass.
i support law enforcement agents. i know how difficult a job they have in their line of work. but when cops act like idiots and bullies it makes it harder not to agree with a lot of people who distrust them as just the pigs.
16. Sorry, but kids should not have to grow up in pseudo-prisons
"When the kids found out our officer was really a cop, they started cheering him."
Trading freedom for security, eh? Where have we heard that one before? :eyes:
I swear some people (not saying you) would still cheer if they saw Cobras overhead and fully armed Bradley's packed with troops rumbling down Main St., U.S.A.. No wonder the country is in the state it's in.
