happy turkey day, everyone
Edited on Wed Nov-26-03 06:13 PM by ulysses
I'm off tonight for the biennial gathering, not with Al Franken, but with my conservative in-laws.

These are the folks who sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus at Christmas - over a cake (didn't have 2k candles, though) - the year before we got married.

If I'm not back tomorrow night, send a search party to Eatonton...

note: this is the extended family. Ms Uly's immediate family is conservative, but not completely whacked. Her mom practically took Terwilliger home with her earlier this year.

3. there's generally a lot of good food.
I usually just eat and take mental notes. They've all long since decided that I'm quite odd. :D

5. Hang in there...you can do it.
I'm off in a bit to spend time with my 93 year old GOP mother-in-law who thinks GW is (her word) "a boob"! I love that woman. My sister-in-law and I only disagree over the Democratic candidate but at least she's open-minded.

Have a great day!

6. Have strength, ulysses
and courage. Beware of those that would lead you astray. Plug your ears.

7. no fear of being led astray.
I just wait for a good story (like the Jesus thing) to happen, and otherwise practice patience. :)

14. Have a great turkey day!
Time with family are the moments to treasure. My dad just got out of the hospital last week and I know we're glad to have him home.

About that last statement. Does it say more about your wife's mom or Terwilliger? Hmm...
