They say if you soak the turkey in salt water for 8 to 12hrs before cooking, it makes the breast meat more tender. So we are now soaking our turkey for the first time. I hope it works!!

Apple cider, maple syrup, salt, ginger, bay leaves and some vinegar.
We'll barbecue the turkey and smoke it with some applewood. Yummy.

2 gals water 2 cups kosher salt 1 cup brown sugar fresh sage leaves fresh tarragon leaves bay leaves peppercorns
1 16 lb fresh turkey.
I'm brining my liver in beer.
