i hiked 8 1/2 miles today! good lord what was i thinking...

I am so freaking sore lol. I got fired/laid off yesterday and i figured if i had all this free time i could get some exercise in. So i drove to one of my favorite moutain bike trails and decided to hike it. about halfway i gathered that i was far too out of shape to attempt such a ridiculous distance the first time i'd been hiking in over a year. i lived through it, but my hip and my knee are friggin killing me. I do plan on doing this several times a week and hopefully i'll lose enough weight to get back to a normal energy level.


I did learn my lesson, take it easy the first time out!!

What's funny is that i went to college for exercise physiology and completely ignored what i would have told anyone else to do..

it's all good, i bought a bottle of nyquil on the way home and am feeling better..



I tend to overdo things. The biggest issue is that i used to be in kick-ass shape and it's taking me forever to reclaim even a part of it, soooo frustrating!!

I'm Godzilla's biggest fan. Had to name my monster bird Godzilla. It suits his charming personality. And his big old feet, and the long trailing tail, it's like what attracted me to him. He's such a little mess, on a smaller scale, he can wipe out Tokyo if he had the chance too. :-)
