Aaarrgghhh! This is what I get for being a well-meaning wimp!!
Several months ago, a number of my best E-Mail buddies noticed that there was no Yahoo group dedicated to the works of my favorite Feminist Science Writer. Seeing a need, I set up a Yahoo discussion group dedicated to her fiction.
Very few folks have noticed, but those women who signed on before now seem to be of the "Gee Whizz, you LIKE her, too! What's your favorite novel?" persuation..
Today, I got a message from Yahoo that someone had posted a message on my Yahoo group. Checking it out, I was appalled! It was the most crass pandering to the lowest male denominator ("What you b====s need is a good f***).
Call me an optomist, but I BELIEVED Yahoo when they promised that I had ultimate authority over who could join this group!
I can imagine many vulnerable women being traumatised by this creep.
It took me over an hour to delete his message, and deny him access.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Okay, I'll sit down and take my medication now...

1. Try their politics chat |

If you turn the volume on you can hear the conservatives rant about religion.

I know Yahoo does have controlled membership groups because I got rejected from one (didn't answer the mod's email in a timely fashion).
